Visualization is one of the most important skills you can learn if you want to manifest your desires quickly.
This blog post on visualization will teach you what is visualization, how visualization works, why visualization is so important for Law of Attraction success, and how to use visualization correctly.
We will also go over some visualization techniques that will help you see images more clearly and improve your focus.
Make sure you use the visualization technique in this article while listening to the subliminal affirmations on my website and youtube channels for best results.
What is visualization?
Visualization is a technique that utilizes the faculty of our imagination to create vivid life like mental images of the things we want to attract or experience in our life.
These visual images evoke emotions and feelings that correspond to the desired outcome as if it has already happened.
For example, if your desire is to make more money then you would imagine money in your hand, you would feel the weight of it, smell the paper, hear the sound of coins clinking together, and see yourself counting your money.
Visualization is the way to envision your goal and imagine it as something that already happened.
How does visualization work?
The subconscious mind understands images far better than it can understand words.
Visualization plants a visual representation of our desire (seed) into the subconscious mind (soil).
Over time through repeated visualization, the seed gets deeply embedded into our subconscious mind.
It then grows and begins to take a form and shape in the subconscious for what’s to come.
This sets into motion a chain reaction that works towards creating our new reality.
Why is visualization so powerful?
The main purpose of visualization is to create a mental image that is so believable to the subconscious mind that the lines between fantasy and reality become blurred.
Our subconscious mind cannot distinguish between what we imagine and the real world. As time goes by, it accepts our dominant thought patterns as truth.
This is why visualization is so powerful because when we mentally envision ourselves succeeding with our goals over and over again, our subconscious mind gets tricked into believing they are real and immediately begins to shift our habits, beliefs, attitudes, thoughts, and actions in such a way that we are more aligned with the visualization.
As we become more aligned, the law of attraction kicks in and the right opportunities, people, information, skills, or resources are sent our way by the Universe or Source to help make that visualization a reality.
How do you visualize correctly step by step?
There are many visualization law of attraction techniques but I am going to show you the one that works best for me:
Step 1: Write a description of your visualization
Before you start your visualization exercise, make sure that you write a detailed description of what you intend to visualize on a piece of paper.
Why do this?
Well, if your mind is left to its own devices it will tend to wander and your visualization will be unfocused and unclear.
So, get deliberate with your visualization and avoid doing it off the cuff.
Your visualization description can be one sentence or a paragraph, it all depends on how detailed you want your visualization to be and what feels right for you.
Also, your sentence or paragraph will include the “end result” and not the how. The universe will take care of the “How” so don’t worry about it.
Let me give you a few examples to drive home the point and get you started:
Intention: Get married.
End Result: Wedding ring on my finger.
Description: John is in a black suit looking at me with love and joy as I walk down the aisle towards him in my gorgeous wedding dress and all the guests are smiling. He takes my hand and slides the ring onto my finger. We kiss and everyone cheers.
Intention: Manifest $10000.
End Result: $10000 in my bank account.
Description: I get a text on my iPhone from chase bank telling me that $10000 has been deposited into my account, I click on the chase app and see that my balance went up from $1000 to $11000.
Intention: Get six pack abs.
End Result: Visible six pack abs reflected in the mirror.
Description: I’m holding my abdominal muscles in and the six-pack is visible on my stomach as I run down a beach topless with the sun shining brightly behind me. A hot girl says “Wow your body looks amazing!” as she winks and walks away.
Be creative and have fun with your visualization process. Add more details and fine tune it to your liking. Make it real for yourself and the universe will take care of the rest.
Step 2: Bypass your conscious mind
The conscious mind is hyperactive and acts as a gatekeeper and protector of the subconscious.
The conscious mind, when left to its own devices, will deliberately sabotage visualization success by coming up with all sorts of reasons not to achieve your goal.
So, you need a way to bypass this gatekeeper and get right into the deep recesses of your subconscious.
I would recommend you do the following few hours before your visualization session to calm down your conscious rational mind:
- Work out for half an hour.
- Take a relaxing hot shower.
- Put your mobile screen in night mode.
- Switch on dim yellow lights in your room instead of the white lights.
- Listen to relaxing music or nature sounds for few minutes.
Doing the above five things will send a signal to your conscious mind that it’s time to relax and put its guard down.
Once, you soften the defenses of your conscious mind you’ll be able to bypass it.
Step 3: Impress your subconscious mind
Switch off all the lights in your room and make your room as dark as possible.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
Keep doing this till your conscious mind is still and centered.
Now, create a clear picture in your mind of exactly what you have written in step no. 1.
See the picture from your mind’s eye with as much detail as possible.
Tip: While visualizing see the image from the first person point of view meaning that you’ll see what the visualization looks like from your eyes.
Use all your 5 senses – sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch to make the visualization feel real.
Focus on the visual image for as long as you can and loop it continuously till you naturally fall off to sleep.
If you can successfully do this your mind will be impressed with your desire.
Step 4: Let go
Try not to obsess over your desires or dwell too much on the visualization session.
As soon as you catch yourself doing this, stop and take a few deep breaths to center your mind again.
Set aside all expectations that may have been getting in your way and delaying your manifestation results.
Let go of any thoughts like “It’ll never happen” or “I don’t deserve it”.
Leave the manifestation part to your subconscious and stop trying too hard to control it.
It’s important to remain flexible and receptive so visualization can manifest in the most beautiful way possible.
Being open minded is key for visualization success, as you never know when you might be divinely guided by an unexpected opportunity that will take your desires even further than what was originally visualized.
Live your best life and let the manifestation come to you.
How long do you have to visualize?
You can stop visualizing the moment your real life starts matching up to the vision in your mind’s eye.
- If your visualization was to attract your dream job then you may notice you’re getting more interviews or being contacted by recruiters.
- If your visualization was to attract your ideal partner then you may notice you’re meeting more people who seem to want the same things as you.
- If your visualization was to manifest a dream life then you may notice you’re achieving more of your goals and aspirations.
When you notice signs like the ones in the examples above, you can rest assured that the seed of your desire has been planted properly and you can stop visualizing because the process of manifestation is in motion.
Visualization techniques for clearer images and improved focus
If you need inspiration or more guidance for creating clearer images in your mind then use the below visualization techniques:
A vision board is essentially an inspiration collage that includes pictures, quotes, designs, and anything of significance you want to manifest as well as things that represent the mood or feeling you wish to experience in your everyday life.
You can use the images on your vision board and add them to your visualization to help you imagine better.
Affirmations are statements of truth that you make to yourself in the present tense.
If you cannot create a visualization on your own then you can make use of these positive statements to structure an image that is a visual representation of them.
Meditation is a great tool that trains your mind to stay focused on one thought.
If you are having problems with focus then try meditating for few minutes before starting the visualization process.
This will help you stay focused and not get distracted while visualizing positive things.
Guided hypnosis is a way of using visualization in a structured environment. The practitioner will guide you through visualization for a particular intention.
I recommend guided visualization if you have trouble visualizing on your own or if you’re struggling with any of the above mentioned visualization techniques.
The Apple Test:
Look at an apple for few seconds, then close your eyes and try to picture the apple in your mind with as much detail as possible.
Don’t be fooled by its simplicity, this is one of the best visualization exercises to improve your overall creative visualization skills.
I can’t visualize things in my mind, what to do?
Listen to this subliminal subliminal 3-6 times everyday for 30-90 days and let me know if you still cannot see images in your mind.
Visualization is a powerful way to impress your desires into the subconscious.
The more vividly you visualize and conjure up all of your senses, the better chance you have of seeing what you desire manifest in the real world.
So there we have it! Hopefully, this article cleared your doubts about visualization and how it is important for Law of Attraction success.
Now go and visualize something for yourself today!
